Terms of Service
Version 1.0 - Effective October 31, 2026
These terms apply when you use Reletter at reletter.strics.at and when you buy credits for it. Please read them together with the Reletter privacy policy at strics.at/reletter/privacy.
Who provides Reletter
Reletter (reletter.strics.at) is provided by STRICS IT GmbH, Florian-Gmainer-Straße 4, 4240 Freistadt, Austria (“we”, “us”). Company register number FN 568366h, Landesgericht Linz. VAT ID ATU77467901. Managing director: David Krammer BSc. Phone: +43 677 61177661. Email: hello@strics.at. Our imprint is at strics.at/imprint.
These terms apply to consumers and to business customers. Where a rule applies only to consumers, we say so. Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumers have under mandatory law.
You can make the contract in English or German. This page always shows the current version, and you can save or print it. When you sign up, we record the time you accepted these terms.
Your account
To use Reletter you need an account. You sign up with your email address and a password and confirm that you accept these terms and the Reletter privacy policy. If someone invited you, you can add their invite code.
You must be at least 16 years old. If you are under 18, you may buy credits only with the consent of a parent or guardian.
Keep your password secret and use an email address that you can receive mail at. Tell us at hello@strics.at if you think someone else is using your account.
What Reletter does
Fonts: you upload a few photos of lettering. AI draws the rest of the alphabet on glyph sheets. Your browser then traces the letters and builds font files (TTF, OTF, WOFF, WOFF2) and text artwork (PNG, SVG, DXF).
Stone fit: you photograph a memorial stone, optionally with our printed QR marker sheets, mark the areas to change and type the new text. AI renders the new lettering in the style of the existing lettering, and Reletter creates cut-line SVG files in millimetres for engraving.
Reletter runs in a current web browser. AI steps are sent through our servers to the AI providers named in the privacy policy.
AI results: check them before you use them
Results are made by AI and can contain errors: letters can have wrong shapes, spacing or details, characters can be missing, and the same step can give a different result each time.
Stone fit files are based on your photo, the markers and the areas you mark. Perspective, lens distortion, marker placement and the photo itself can make sizes and positions inaccurate. Before you engrave, cut or order anything, check the spelling, the layout and every measurement on the real stone, and make a test where you can. Reletter is a design aid; it does not replace checking by you or a stonemason.
Only change a memorial if you are entitled to, for example as holder of the grave rights and under the cemetery's rules.
If you engrave or produce something without checking it, the resulting costs are at your own risk. Our liability is set out in “Warranty and liability” below.
Your uploads and the rights you need
Upload only photos and lettering that you are allowed to use, for example photos you took yourself and lettering that you made or have permission to reproduce. Typefaces and font files can be protected by copyright, design rights or licence terms. Do not use Reletter to recreate a typeface or font that you are not allowed to copy, or to imitate someone's handwriting or signature to deceive others.
You keep all rights in your uploads. You allow us to store and process them, send them to our AI providers and show them to you, only as far as this is needed to run Reletter for you and, if you send a bug report, to look into it. This permission is free of charge and non-exclusive, and it ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we must keep by law. We do not publish your uploads and do not use them to train AI models.
Your fonts and artwork
You may use the fonts, images and files you make with Reletter for any lawful purpose, including commercial use. We claim no rights in them.
Please note the limits. AI-made results may not be protected by copyright, so you may not be able to stop others from using similar designs. If your source lettering belongs to someone else, for example an existing typeface, the result can infringe their rights. A name that Reletter suggests for a font can match an existing font name or trademark. Check these points before you publish or sell a font.
Credits and prices
AI steps in Reletter are paid with credits. You buy credits in whole euro amounts from €5 to €500. One euro buys 10 credits. All prices include VAT.
Each AI step costs a fixed number of credits, and Reletter shows that price before you start the step. Credits are deducted only if the step succeeds; a failed step costs nothing.
Credits are not money. They cannot be paid out, transferred to another account or exchanged, except for the refunds described in these terms or required by law. Credits do not expire as long as your account exists.
Step prices can change for future steps. The price shown before a step starts applies to that step. If a change makes your credits buy noticeably less, “Changes to Reletter” below applies.
Buying credits: how it works and who takes the payment
On the Credits page, choose an amount, tick the box to have the credits added right away and select Pay. You are taken to a Stripe checkout page that shows the total. Until you confirm the payment there, you can change the amount, go back or close the page without paying. The contract is made when you confirm the payment. We add the credits as soon as the payment is confirmed; with some payment methods this takes longer.
Payments are handled through Stripe Managed Payments by Sold through Link, LLC (“Link”), a Stripe company. Link is the merchant of record: it collects the payment on our behalf, calculates and pays the VAT, and sends you the receipt and invoice in its own name. For VAT purposes, Link is treated as the supplier of the credits. Your contract for Reletter and the credits is with us: we add the credits, provide Reletter and are responsible for it.
Link's terms for purchases “Sold through Link” (link.com/terms) also apply to the payment, and Link may offer to charge you in your local currency at its exchange rate. For questions about a payment, contact Link support at support.link.com; for everything else, contact us. Link can also grant refunds under its own refund policy.
If a purchase is refunded, for whatever reason, we remove the credits it added. If you have already used them, your balance can go below zero, and you can start new steps once it is above zero again.
Right of withdrawal for consumers
If you are a consumer, you can withdraw from a credit purchase within 14 days without giving a reason, as described in the withdrawal information below.
Credits are added right away because you ask for this when you buy. If you withdraw, you pay for the credits from that purchase that you have already used, and we refund the part of the price for the credits you have not used. Your right of withdrawal for a purchase ends once all of its credits have been used.
Each AI step starts right away when you start it. Once a step is finished, it has been fully provided and you can no longer withdraw from it. Failed steps cost nothing.
Withdrawal information. Right of withdrawal: You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day the contract was concluded. To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us (STRICS IT GmbH, Florian-Gmainer-Straße 4, 4240 Freistadt, Austria, hello@strics.at) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (for example a letter sent by post or an email). You may use the model withdrawal form below, but it is not obligatory. To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal: If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (with the exception of the supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event not later than fourteen days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement. If you requested to begin the performance of services during the withdrawal period, you shall pay us an amount which is in proportion to what has been provided until you have communicated to us your withdrawal from this contract, in comparison with the full coverage of the contract.
Model withdrawal form (if you want to withdraw from the contract, please fill in this form and send it back): To STRICS IT GmbH, Florian-Gmainer-Straße 4, 4240 Freistadt, Austria, hello@strics.at. I/We (*) hereby give notice that I/We (*) withdraw from my/our (*) contract for the provision of the following service: … Ordered on: … Name of consumer(s): … Address of consumer(s): … Signature of consumer(s) (only if this form is sent on paper): … Date: … (*) Delete as appropriate.
Referral program
Every account has a personal invite link. When someone signs up with your link, you receive a share of the credits that person buys, on every purchase, as credits. The share is 10 % unless we have set a different share for your account. Rewards are credits only and are never paid out in money.
If a purchase is refunded, we take back the reward for it. For each person you invited, you see a shortened email address (for example ma•••@example.com), the date they joined and the rewards you earned.
Only invite people who may want to use Reletter, and do not send invites as spam. Signing up yourself or fake accounts through your own link, and other abuse, are not allowed; in such cases we may remove the rewards concerned or exclude you from the program. We may change or end the program for the future. Rewards already credited stay in your account unless they came from abuse or a refunded purchase.
Fair use
Do not use Reletter to break the law or infringe the rights of others, or to create content that is hateful, violent or meant to deceive. The AI providers may refuse requests that break their usage policies.
Do not attack or overload Reletter, get around credits, limits or security measures, access it in automated ways other than through the app, or share your account with others.
If you break these rules, we may block the content concerned, suspend your account or, in serious cases, end the contract.
Changes to Reletter
We work to keep Reletter available but cannot guarantee that it always works without interruption. Maintenance and faults at our providers or on the internet can cause outages. Download and keep copies of the fonts and files you need.
We may change Reletter for good reasons: to keep it secure and working, to adapt it to changes at our AI or hosting providers or to new laws, and to add, improve or remove features and AI models. Such changes cost you nothing extra. If a change affects your access to Reletter or your use of it more than slightly, we will tell you by email in advance. You can then end the contract free of charge within 30 days after the change, and we refund the part of the price for your unused purchased credits.
Ending the contract and deleting your account
You can end the contract at any time by asking us at hello@strics.at to delete your account. We then delete your sign-in, fonts, stones, files and credit history. Records we must keep by law, such as purchase records, are kept as described in the privacy policy.
Unused credits expire when your account is deleted, unless you have a right to a refund by law or under these terms, for example after a withdrawal or a change under “Changes to Reletter”.
We can end the contract with at least two months' notice by email, for example if we stop offering Reletter. We can end it without notice for an important reason, in particular serious or repeated breaches of these terms, fraud or abuse. If we end the contract and this is not your fault, we refund the part of the price for your unused purchased credits.
Warranty and liability
You have the statutory warranty rights. For consumers, these include the rights under the Austrian Consumer Warranty Act (VGG) for digital services. These terms do not limit them.
We are liable without limit for damage we cause intentionally or through gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health. We are not liable for other damage caused through slight negligence. Liability under the Product Liability Act and other liability that cannot be limited by law remain unaffected.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example for new features, legal changes or changes at our providers. We will email you the changes at least 30 days before they take effect and ask you to accept them in Reletter. If you do not accept them, the previous terms continue to apply, and either side may end the contract as described above. If we end it, we refund the part of the price for your unused purchased credits.
Law, courts and contact
Austrian law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live.
If you are a consumer, you can bring a claim against us in Austria or in the country where you live, and we can bring a claim against you only where you live. For business customers, the courts competent for 4240 Freistadt, Austria, have jurisdiction.
